Delving into the fascinating realm of tiles, exploring their rich history and enduring beauty. The course consisted of three interconnected projects focused on designing and producing tiles using various materials and thicknesses. These projects allowed for a detailed examination of materials, colors, and textures, requiring meticulous working methods and representational strategies to analyze geometry and form in both two- and three-dimensional formats. The learning objectives were clear, guiding us to understand geometry and interior space, examine materiality, and delve into orthographic projection. We utilized a wide range of tools and techniques, from physical modeling to software applications like Rhino and Adobe suite tools. This immersive journey not only improved my technical skills but also deepened my admiration for the craftsmanship involved in tile design and production.
