In this course, I explored various modes of representation, focusing on the interplay between orthographic projection and 3D modeling. Using a downloadable 3D digital file, I tackled a project that involved transforming object parts into a packaged form balancing utility and uselessness. Inspired by product packaging principles, I considered design parameters like fitness and compactness to create three-dimensional pieces from two-dimensional profiles. The goal was to 3D print the final objects for exhibition. The course, structured as one project with three assignments, honed both 2D and 3D technical skills, fostering understanding of compositional elements related to form and aesthetics. Tutorials and lectures provided insights into theoretical and historical dimensions of architectural production, encouraging novel expressions and conceptualizations of form through representation.
