In our exploration of educational architecture, we were challenged to design an open-air elementary school in Los Angeles, reimagining it as dynamic spaces rather than a solid structure. Key to this was focusing on responsive planes like roofs and grounds, guiding the flow of activity, light, air, and sound. We employed visual analysis techniques like "The Sandwich" and "The Type" to create drawings and models, drawing inspiration from various schools worldwide. Through five assignments, including case studies and building parti, we crafted Bridge Street Elementary School, pushing boundaries of traditional LAUSD programs to create innovative pedagogical spaces.
